Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Winter: Houston Wedding Photography

Congratulations, Matt and Jen!
This fun and lively couple tied the knot at 8pm on Friday, October 23rd on the rooftop of the Open City Lounge in Midtown.  They exchanged their vows with their friends and family under the clear night sky with the Houston skyline shining brightly behind them. Gold accents twinkled in the darkness from the ambient light of the candles.   These two were a blast at their engagement shoot, and their wedding could not have been more enjoyable.  Though this wedding was as untraditional as the couple involved; the atmosphere, location, and love that surrounded it was as memorable as they come.
Congrats, you two!  We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!
We can't wait to shoot maternity photos for you guys! (hint, hint)

The Bishop Family: Houston / Hempstead Photography

Today we met the Bishop family.  Vicki, Mike and their two kids had a great time at this mini shoot.  We found some beautiful locations on their property despite the construction going on of their new house.  Vicki warned us that it may be tough to get a smile out her husband and her son, but we have a few tricks up our sleeves and they turned out fantastic!  Nothing like a beautiful smile from all of the family to create a wonderful memory!

Beeville Western Week: Houston Photography

Tx Longhorn For Hire traveled down to Beeville this past weekend for the Beeville Western Week.  We camped out all weekend with the steers.  The weather was amazing, a cool 75 degrees during the day and a bit colder at night.  The boys were a big hit!  Everyone was amazed to see a cowgirl a top a 2300lb steer!

We had Dan Wallen of Wallen Productions down there with his exotic petting zoo, pony rides, and one of the world's smallest bulls, Boo.  We met a few event planners and booked a rodeo next month featuring an all female bull riding crew from Canada.

I shot a few photos for a featured BMX riding group to use on their website; they even popped over to checkout our steers.  Never thought a guy who makes a living flipping upside down 20 feet in the air on a bike would be so nervous around a 2300lb. longhorn!  All in all it was a great weekend.

Getting Ready to Saddle Up: Houston Event Photography

We will be heading out early tomorrow morning to Beeville, Tx for Beeville Western Week.  It will be easy to pick me out from the crowd; you will find me on the back of a 2300lb Texas Longhorn Steer.  That's right!  Our boys, Haywire and Hotshot, will be there for photo opportunities - shot by yours truly, of course!  And after you have your photo taken in the saddle of a genuine Texas Longhorn Steer, you should go meet Dan Wallen of Wallen Productions and his animals.  He is a fourth generation animal trainer and can train anything on four legs.  He will be there with his petting zoo, pony rides, and the world's smallest bull, Boo.
Be back next week with photos from the event!

Black and White and Pink All Over: Houston Wedding Photography

Zebra print, Pink Accents, and Gerber Daisies.
This was the theme for a wedding shot last Saturday at Innerfaith Testament Fellowship, a chapel specializing in affordable wedding pacakages including location, ceremony, cake, catering, and decor.  This beautiful little chapel was recently renovated inside and out and needed new photos to show on their website.  We chose to do the shoot on a day they were hosting a wedding to be sure that we captured the atmosphere and decor for a true wedding.  We snapped a few shots during the ceremony to show the chapel.  Although we were not hired to do wedding photography for the couple, we decided to stick around longer than planned to capture a few special moments between the young couple getting married.  They could not afford to pay for a photographer to cover their wedding, but we are planning on surprising the couple by giving them the shots we took as a wedding gift from Double E Photography. Congrats!

Guido Family Maternity Session: Houston Photographer

Congratulations to Mike and Sandy on their 3rd bundle of joy!  We can't wait to find out if the newest addition to the family is a girl or boy!

Not only did we have a great shoot, but it looks like I have two new assistants for the next one!  We tried out a few new techniques in this session and came up with some amazing photos.  It also helps that they are a gorgeous family!  Congrats!  We can't wait to photograph your little one outside of the belly, too!
